More Than a Store
Supporting growers through Grow West Farm Supply & Parts
While each Grow West Farm Supply and Parts store is unique to its region, they share a strong commitment to customer service, provide a “one-stop-shop” experience and support the rural communities. Each store offers a wide variety of products and services for farming, ranching, landscaping, gardening, auto and more to meet customer needs.
Walnut Grove Parts

Store History
The store started as a small, one-person farm/parts shop and eventually opened to the public as a farm and hardware store. Napa Auto Parts then moved into the location. Several years later, the Lyman Group bought the store and added a Lyman Parts Depot sign to the building to accompany the Napa Auto Parts sign. Since the 2019 company rebrand, it has been Grow West Walnut Grove Parts / Napa Auto Parts. A block away is a Grow West yard and around the corner is the Walnut Grove Retail location.
The Manager and Team
Noe Jaimes has worked for Grow West (and previous company) for 29 years and has been the Walnut Grove Parts store manager for 20 years.
What he enjoys most about his job is the daily one-on-one chats with his customers. “I like talking to the customers and asking how I can help them,” Jaimes said. “It feels good to be able to help them find a product or come up with a solution to a problem. When the customer is happy, I’m happy.”
In addition to Jaimes, there are four employees, including an assistant manager and counter staff. Two have been on the team for many years and the other two for one year. “We have a great group. Everybody does a little bit of everything around here,” Jaimes said.
Customer Service
Jaimes and his staff share the same goals of providing excellent customer service and being trusted, knowledgeable resources. Walnut Grove is a small community; the employees are very familiar with local growers and residents and take pride in serving them.
Even with 20 years of experience managing and stocking the store, Jaimes said customer input about products is important.
“Some of my customers might go shopping at a different type of store in a bigger city and they won’t find the products they need,” he said. “They come back to my store and tell us what they need. If we don’t have it in stock, we can try to get it the same day or the next day.”
What Makes This Store Unique?
Since the store doubles as a Grow West / Napa Auto Parts, it caters to ag industry customers who need farm-related products and local residents who shop for hardware items and car parts. When Jaimes first started, the store only had a thousand or so items. Now it stocks more than 300,000 items for farming, auto, marine and more.

Woodland Farm Supply & Parts
Store History
The store started 30 years ago in a different location in Woodland, but it was more of a hole-in-the-wall internal parts department. It relocated and grew to the large retail facility it is today and has won best agricultural retailer in Yolo County several times.
The Manager and Team
Spencer Rodriguez has been the store manager for two\ years. He started his career with Grow West 11 years ago after working in the corporate office for two years and with Agriform for six years.

“It was kind of a happy accident getting into the industry,” he said. “My cousin was working for Agriform and he told me they wanted to hire a Spanish speaking person to help sell parts. Once I started working for Agriform, I was hooked and never looked back. Ag is a great industry.”
The store has 11 employees, including counter staff, an outside salesman and a mechanic.
Customer Service
Rodriguez said people who shop online or at Home Depot- style stores won’t get the kind of experience, feedback, personal service and friendly atmosphere that his store offers.
“I’m proud of our staff; they are willing to go the extra mile,” he said. “Our team members are very knowledgeable about our products, and it’s helpful that they can share information with customers in person. Nothing’s better than someone who comes in with a problem and we can give them the right product to fix it or help troubleshoot.”
For example, one employee is a former mechanic with Grow West Trucking who has a lot of experience with the tools sold at the store. The outside salesman was a former farmer who has been in the ag industry for decades and has vast knowledge of pumps and other products.
Rodriguez said Woodland Farm Supply is a very welcoming store. “We have the parts counter, the apparel counter and a bunch of benches. A lot of our customers just like hanging out, kind of old school. For customers, we always have coffee, there’s a little snack bar and then donuts every Friday. Even if customers aren’t looking for anything, we encourage them to come in, have coffee and catch up.”
What Makes This Store Unique?
Rodriguez said the store has about half a million items for sale. Despite the massive inventory, they still ask growers about other items to stock that would be useful for their operations. Customers can place small, bulk and special orders. The store can also coordinate and deliver pallets.
The store is geared toward agricultural spraying. Among the biggest sellers are Banjo and TeeJet items – popular ag liquid handling and spray application products – as well as fertilizer pumps, spray pumps and transfer pumps.
What You Can Shop For
- Boots: Danner and Carhartt.
- Apparel: Carhartt.
- Pruning tools: Corona and Felco.
- Fasteners: Nuts, bolts, nails, etc.

Services
Rodriguez said the store has expanded its service options as an additional resource. “A customer might need help plumbing their spray rig, so our outside salesman can go to a field or orchard and troubleshoot. Our mechanic can do small repairs for small engines and pumps. If a PCA recommends a product to spray, we can help with calibration. We also work with other locations to explore solutions.”
Ukiah Farm Supply & Parts
Store History
The store was originally Mendocino County Farm Supply, owned and operated for 50 years by the Mendocino County Farm Bureau. In 2017, the Lyman Group took over the store, combined it with its already-established ag retail business and renamed it Ag Unlimited Farm Supply. In 2019, it underwent a name change to Grow West Ukiah Farm Supply and Parts when the company rebranded to Grow West. It is part of the North Coast Division, which also includes four retail locations.
The Manager and Team
The store manager is Tim Johnson, who became North Coast division manager in October 2025. He began his career with Grow West in September 2021 and previously served as location manager for Ukiah Farm Supply and the Lakeport retail location.

“I love being connected to the ag community,” Johnson said. “Ag is such a big part of this area and I enjoy being around the people who do the work: farmers, cattle ranchers, vineyard managers, kids who show animals and so many others.”
In addition to Johnson, the team includes two counter people, two warehouse employees, a dispatcher and a delivery driver.
Customer Service
“Mendocino County Farm Supply was here for a long time, so\ we want the community to know that we’re carrying on that legacy of supporting the farmers, ranchers and rural lifestyle with our store,” Johnson said.
He added, “Customer service is really important; you have to have happy customers. The counter and warehouse staff are up to speed on numerous topics to provide knowledgeable answers and solutions to customers. For example, a customer might ask about certain types of feed or cattle chutes. Our counter people are around livestock all the time and are very familiar with our products. Everybody who works here is local.”
What Makes This Store Unique?
Johnson said the store caters mostly to the livestock and winegrape industries.
Ukiah Farm Supply is the only Grow West store that stocks and sells livestock handling equipment, including gates, panels, tubs, chutes and alleys from brands such as Powder River and Priefert. The store also supplies commercial livestock operations and local livestock exhibitors with feed, straw and hay.
Other unique items include stock tanks and fencing supplies (wire fencing with steel T-posts and barbed wire) and almost anything needed to establish a vineyard (end posts, trellis wire, grapestakes and more). If a particular item is not in stock, the store will special order it.
