The acquisition of J. M. Buckley Ag Service in Courtland represented an investment in custom dry fertilizer blending and liquid fertilizer manufacturing. The operation was moved to the Harvey Lyman Ag Service location in Clarksburg shortly after acquisition.

Harvey opens a second location in Clarksburg to serve more customers. The Walnut Grove operation was known as Harvey Lyman Chemicals, and the Clarksburg Operation was known as Harvey Lyman Agservice.
